pregnancy yoga

sidetwist

I did yoga through both my pregnancies and also did my pregnancy teacher training whilst pregnant, so I know how it feels and know some of the wonderful benefits pregnancy yoga can bring you - space to breathe and restful sleep are the two things I remember most clearly!

Pregnancy Yoga is suitable from 14-40 weeks, so as soon as you've had your first scan you are very welcome to come along. If you are still pregnant and come to yoga in your 40th week, I bake a cake to celebrate - it's a lovely way to say goodbye and wish you luck on your new adventure.

The studio has big french windows that open onto a garden so ventilation is assured. I still provide tea and biscuits so you can stay and have a chat afterwards.

Olivia’s classes are great. I love the small class size and the individual attention she gives each person. It’s just the right balance of stretching and relaxing and has definitely given me more confidence about labour and beyond. I’m looking forward to mummy baby classes soon...!

The classes are designed to be a completely safe way to build strength and stamina for an active labour and you'll also learn poses and breathing techniques for labour. Classes will  help reduce breathlessness, heartburn and other pregnancy discomforts. You don't need to be flexible or have done yoga before. Indeed most people who come to pregnancy yoga have never done yoga before.

After the class there are tea and biscuits and a chance to chat to other local mums-to-be.

Classes at 7pm on Tuesdays at The Studio, 4 Merrilyn Close, Claygate. Please bring a mat.

Olivia’s pregnancy yoga sessions were relaxing, fun, calming and energising all at the same time. I attended from 15 -40 weeks and looked forward to each session, not only the yoga but the tea, biscuits & chats with other pregnant woman at the end of every session. I would recommend to everyone!
