Welcome - I'm a friendly local teacher of Pregnancy yoga, mother and baby yoga and vinyasa flow yoga in Claygate, Surrey who welcomes experienced and beginner yogis. I enjoy sharing the physical and mental benefits of yoga (better sleep, for one!) so come and give it a try.
Pregnancy Yoga is suitable from 12-40 weeks (from as soon as you've had your scan until your baby arrives) so do come along to build strength and stamina and learn breathing techniques for labour. Classes will also help reduce breathlessness, heartburn and other pregnancy discomforts.
After the class there are tea and biscuits and a change to chat to other local mums-to-be.
vinyasa flow yoga
An energetic class to stretch and to build core strength.
Beginners are very welcome - indeed most of the class have never done yoga before so everything is explained and goes step by step.
Don't worry if you're not flexible - again, most people aren't - and yoga is to make you more flexible, not simply to make flexible folk feel brilliant.
Mother and baby yoga
Mother and Baby Yoga is a wonderful way for new mums to return to exercise, whilst bonding with their baby. It's fun, adapted to ease you and your body back to strength, and is an entirely flexible class to allow you to take time out to feed or cuddle your baby if required. As the class name suggests, the baby is not simply welcome to the class, but an integral part of it, and learning to interact with and play with your baby, is a fabulous benefit for mums and babies. There's also tea and biscuits after the class.
The class is intended for babies 6 weeks old to six months old but is open to older babies so long as they're not crawling yet.
